Drill press tuck maker

For what its worth, here's a tuck maker made from 5/8" rod. I unplugged the drill press before inserting the upper piece. Pulling the lever produces quite a big tuck without much effort....

It was the flange that was causing me the trouble. I heated the flange and stretched.
For the finishing touches, I cut mating pieces to the correct profile and squeezed them together....

Am I headed in the right direction?

I've promised myself that I'd get some more work done on the Sprite, and while I'm pleased to have the rear deck improved from it's original stoved in condition, I'm stuck with one remaining problem....
