Been lurking here for a while figured its time to jump in. I've been doing bodywork and working on cars and trucks for over 30 years. I'm currently working on a 31 model A coupe of my own. I also have a 29 Model A pickup and a36 Ford coupe. I love working with metal and welding. I am really interested in learning to make my own body panels.
Recently built a foot operated stand for my shrinker-stretcher( copied from a design I saw here or elsewhere). Also built a stand for my HF beadroller. Hope to find a motor to power it soon. Would like to build or buy an English wheel this summer. Thats all for now.

Welcome to allmetalshaping Rob, I like your Model A, I like the A coupe better than the '32. Looks like it is taking shape. You dont have to wait untill you have built a wheel, you can shape panels without any machines. I think it is best to do some hand shaping before trying to us a wheel because it is more intuative.

I have a small beater bag and a teardrop mallet. I've been helping my neighbor with his 64 Plymouth Fury. Trying to make a patch for the outer wheel well. Its starting to take shape. Heres some pics.
