Hello, my name is Matt Sandvold from Brandon, SD (just outside of Sioux Falls) and I am excited at the opportunity to join this group. I am an Electronics Engineer by trade but love working on cars whenever the time permits. My son and I built a 1975 Camaro for a senior project prior his departure to Chicago to attend Universal Technical Institute (auto mechanics). I am now building a 1935 Ford slant back street rod and am in need of building an English Wheel to straighten/smooth fenders and hood. I volunteer work at a hotrod shop in town on Wednesday evenings where I have access to a Pullmax, lathe, mill, sheer, bead roller, break, etc. but they do not have an English Wheel which is why I would like to build one and add to the selection of tools. Any tips or advice on what has worked (or what to avoid) from those that have built them would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the best metalshaping site ever!! You found the right place!!! Come on down to Tea Matt and I'll tell you what I know and give you advice if you are willing. You also need to let the forum know the panels you need to build. The pulmax can do just about everything including a crowned panel with the right tooling.

HI Matt welcome to the forum
