Hello All

I come seeking and sharing more knowledge! I have been shaping metal on, off and on again for 20+ years. I built my first english wheel 20 years ago from the limited amount of resources available at the time. This was about 10 years before the big craze hit with television programs.
Twenty years ago i was lucky to have one person out of 100 actually know what the wheel was. :( Fortunately for the Biker Channel (Discovery) of about 2003 almost everyone knows what they are now. :lol:
Back in the 1900's I had to build everything including an extensive supply of body hammers as there was no resources like there is today. The key is I like building my own stuff:D:D For those interested you can see some of my adventures on my personal website here : www.robmartel.shutterfly.com

Before I set up an album with what might/might not be beneficial to others building their own equipment, does anyone have a suggestion for a simple program for copyrighting their pictures?
The reason I am asking is because I have had my pictures pirated to other sites without proper due credit.
I set up my shutterfly picture account and temporarily shut down my .com site to prevent this from happening again.:mad:
I do not mind sharing, just tired of people(in the past) from claiming my work as their own. :cool:

I think that happens to about everyone. Even with small parts like roll pans and things we all make for other people. there is always some fool that's going to say they did it themselves. I think its only going to get worse with the exploding population on this new generation that is all about "me" and facebook. I have it happen with employers or older men in the shop who think they are being one-up'ed and its their way of compensating for the fact they do not want to make the contribution of time to learn or improve their skills. If people think more about the team effort they will realize how little it matters because those same people have skills that I do not have... (climbing off the stump now...)

I really enjoyed your albums! Would like to see some post with explanations of problems and how you worked through them. What is the toughest part you ever made?

Amongst other things I'm a photographer so I have to protect IP on pictures that I post. If you want to watermark images then you'll need a graphics package. I use Photoshop which is not cheap but if you are using a PC Paint.net is powerfull and free:

I also use Pro Photo tools to add copyright info to the exif of an image if I don't want a watermark. Also free.

A recommendation from a professional goes a lot further than the on line self promotion that companies use to sell you their product.
I have downloaded the files and am watching the tutorial for information.
I first tried picmarkerpro but they want me to set up a Flickr account. I tried their program already and could not find the stored image in my hard drive after following instructions.:confused:
It can't be as hard as self teaching myself to use the English wheel 20 years ago! :eek:
