Hello from North Carolina

My name is Rich and I decided to register after lurking for a while. I am working on a 1979 RX-7 (link below, project is in winter hibernation right now) which was originally going to be a racecar but I find myself more and more interested in the craftsmanship aspect of the car hobby. I have come here to learn and share my experiences as I go forward.

Great site, btw.

Welcome Rich,

I used to spend a good bit of time in Gary/Apex. Our region office was there. Long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Good BarBQ.

Yes indeed. Good BBQ. Cary (Gary is Indiana, not sure if that was a typo) is not what it once was. Over 130,000 people now, seventh largest city in the state.

Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome aboard Rich,
I had a V8 Rx-7 project, still do... Just lost interest after I seized the engine (playing a little too hard)

Yep Cary it is. This was back in the early 90's Hewlett-Packard had their Region sales office there and my District was in that region so I got to waste a lot of ...err...spend a lot of quality time in useless overhead....err management meetings there.

It was indeed a sleepy little surburb then. Haven't been there in years. The research triangle was just getting started back then.
