I'm very new to this type forum. I'm a middle school welding and metal trades teacher in San Antonio, Texas

Welcom from a neighbor north of ya.. Middle school trades class? Awesome! You gotta have some patience to deal with the middle schoolers today. I taught high school auto body for a few years, when they started to send me middle schoolers it was a whole different ball game.
