Hello from central SC.

Hello, my name is Chuck and I live in West Columbia SC. I grew up with cars and farm machinery. My father owns a tractor salvage yard and dealership and my uncle owns an automotive salvage yard. I've restored many tractors over the years and would like to learn more about metal shaping. I believe this will help with future projects as sheet metal for older tractors is becoming harder to find. I am also wanting to get a classic car for restoration as a family project for my son and daughter to help with. i
I'm sure there are many tips and tricks that will be useful. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi Chuck, welcome to the forum. I have done a few bits for tractors here is a bonnet (hood) we made a while ago.

Sounds like Heaven to me: a tractor junk yard and an automobile junk yard. What more could a kid ask for?

I always liked Allis Chalmers tractors the best. They also made some fairly good sized engines:

Would you not like to run one of them?

You need to find a e wheel...Have a good friend who is into steam and farm tractors. We spent some time together on the wheel to where he could take out all the small dents and put some shape back into the top to where they are stright again. he has lots of friends now ! And a little extra change for tools. Just metal work and no filler and they look perty good........Welcome
