New Guy in Washington State

Hi guys,
I'm a total newbie from Ellensburg WA.
I love the idea of making patch pannels and/or complete panels from scratch so I'm really happy to have found this forum (I think I found it through the Hamb). Anyway, after I registered here yesterday and did some reading, I was inspired enough to go out and beat the bajesus out of some perfectly good sheet metal. I beat out two small half circles about the size of an apple and decided I'd put them together to make a Christmas ornament (It was either that or an ashtray/change and car key holder).
All went well until I attempted to join the two halves and burned a nice hole with my wire feed. :) I wont say how long all this took me.

I cant wait to try again!

Chris

Welcome to Allmetalshaping Chris, well done on your first attenpt at shaping metal. We all have to start somewhere, It is possible to make just about any patch panel with only hand tools so just keep practicing and you will learn.

Chris, welcome to the site, glad to have a new member from the Great North West. As you learn you will make some scrap, everybody does, but that is part of learning to shape metal. Keep trying, ask question and your skills will improve. Thanks for joining.
