Hi all, my name is Matt, and I've just stumbled across this forum after reading a thread on the HAMB by Mindover (David) whose DVD I've just watched (by chance, borrowed it from a friend) and I'm hooked!

I've got a 1960 Humber Hawk that I'm looking to restore and give the mild Kustom treatment to (lowering, lake pipes, watson scallops etc.).

When I say I've got a 1960 Humber Hawk, what I'm quickly learning is, that someone in the past has tried to re-create a Hawk in aluminium panels, rivets and a whole lotta Filler!

So I've started down the road of replacing some of that expertly crafted filler with fresh metal - and I'm keen to learn all I can!

Hello Matt, welcome to the forum, I am glad you like the DVD. It was a hell of a lot of work to make, it took me almost five years of spare time work to do the filming, make the animations, do the editing and design every aspect of the production from writing the script and recording the narration to the DVD cover and the website. I put a lot of money into it as well, I had to buy a professional camera, a computer capable of editing video (two actually because one packed up) as well as an editing program costing several hundreds of pounds, a mic good enough to give quality sound for the narration. Every possible thing that could go wrong did and I lost several months work at one stage my youngest daughter was diagnosed with a lifelong chronic illness while I was in the middle of making it. I almost gave up on it several times but it owed me so much money I had to get it done.

David, I realise the DVD must have been a lot of work, but I had no idea it was that testing for you! Sorry to hear about your daughter too.

I've just ordered my own copy by the way - that was always my intention. I' just glad my mate lent me his copy or I would never have known what I'm missing!
