Hello from Maryland USA

Just bought some metal working stuff at my favorite web site and got informed of this forum. I'm putting together an english wheel soon to offset the price of patch panels on a car restoration project. I look forward to profesional interaction with good folks here and hope to share the "tricks of the trade".

Thanks for the welcome fellas, Almost finished with the '57 GMC. It features a tubular tilt front fabricated with the JD2 tubing bender. I reworked the front fenders to accomidate the front sectioning. Just some simple shrinking and streaching a 90 degree piece and mig welding at the point they join. Airbrush graphics on the hood. Walnut bed and stainless strips.
Next project is a '68 Karmann Ghia for the wife. This is old Baltimore car. The whole bottom is rotted out. Need to get a working E wheel made up.
Thats a sweet looking truck MP&C, I'm in Harwood 15 min south of Annapolis

I suppose painting sheetmetal is a way of forming also. It's an artists forming of the metal.

I'll finish up introducing myself and saying thanks again for welcoming me with a couple of pics of the next project.
This is a 1968 Karmann Ghia. I'm doing this for the wife...Hey, all things in balance and moderation. She needs a little hot rod too.
This is why I now have an interest in an E wheel. This unibody car will take a different approach in some part than the truck I'm sure. This is an old Baltimore car and the winter salty road treatments have taken a toll on the undercarriage. The seats are just about ready to fall thru the floor. I have a better chassis that I have the pans stripped off and I have new pans ready to go on. I will be seperating the old chassis and body this fall. The '57 still needs some small things finished up before I get to much going on and get nothing done. I'll keep you guy's posted of all the progress.
