Hello, new member. I am a car guy at heart and want to learn how to build cool sheet metal tools.

Hello Ben and welcome to the site. There is lots of information on here about building machines and tools but it is possible to do a lot of shaping with only a few hand tools. It is better to learn the basics first. There are threads on 'making' a stump which is one of the most versatile and useful things to start with.
