All MetalShaping - Hello from Matt Waldrop / Blacksmith-welder

Hello I'm an artist blacksmith in western north carolina, originally from Warren MI just north of Detroit. I worked as a sheet metal model maker for a short period of time in my early carrier making prototype sheet metal car parts (brackets, hinges, manifold covers, etc.) mainly tool and die making and part forming and cut out. my main interest is hot forging steel and building metal forming machines (power hammers, presses, things along those lines) I have been becoming more and more aware of some of the sheet metal forming techniques in the custom auto body / motorcycle world and would like to find out more. some of my work is on my website www.northerncrescentiron.com and the rest is on my facebook fan page for northern crescent iron. we mainly do architectural iron work / railings, gates, fire pokers, furniture, you get the idea.
