Howdy from Texas

New to sheet metal work here, retired from the navy and looking for something to keep life interesting. Anyway Ive been beating on a smashed hood for a 54 ford f100. Got it looking better before it started looking worse and realized there was more to this sport than beating the low spots up and the high spots down. Anyway I am seeing some amazing work here. Jim

Hi Jim, actually beating the high spots up and the low spots down is exacty what you should be doing to straighten dents and damage. The trick is to know what is low and what it high and when to stop!. there is a sytem that should be followed to get good results. Welcome to the site.
