Hi from Somerset, England
I have been shamed into posting here after being a lurker for months. I have found the posts on this forum an inspiration. The quality of the work on here makes my small "Bashings" look very simple. My first introduction to metalshaping started about 15 years ago when I was frustrated because I couldn't make a nice fuel tank for a sprint motorcycle I had built (it ended up having a "box" with rounded corners). I did get as far as making a bag and getting a couple of hammers and a copy of Ron Fournier's book The metal Fabricator's Handbook.
As time moved on I have made a complete change of career (I was a Bricklayer) and now have a small workshop in which my son and I build racing motorcycle sidecars and also take on any fabrication type chalenges that come our way. I have become brave enough to hear myself saying yes to jobs as I think .....How on earth can I do that? Learning all the time thanks to all of you :D |
Welcome Paul. Lots of Brits on the site. Show us some of your bikes. We like photos...

Hi Paul.
Welcome to the site, sounds like you may have a few projects to show us. I'm in Barnstaple just down the road, this is a great place to learn. I'll be looking out for your postings. |
