Hello everybody,
I'm Lucas Doolin and I bought my first Lincoln Continental in Bearden, Tennessee ("where they made the fatal striike") the summer Thunder Road came out. I've been intrigued by custom bodywork ever since (1940 and 1941 Lincoln Continentals were custom bodied by Briggs employees using Lincoln Zephyr components).
I stand in awe at the work I've seen on the H.A.M.B. and AllMetalShaping and hope to improve my very basic skills. I've gathered a good assortment of body working tools and now have a good shop where I can put them to use on several prewar Continentals, some Fords and Mercuries and several Citroens.
For me, AllMetalShaping is an opportunity to learn from the masters and turn some long planned projects into reality.
Respectfully submitted, Lucas Doolin

Welcome to the forum, Lucas/William.

I used to be a substitute teacher, ISS and drivers ed teacher at Bearden HS in 95. Around then, there was a 40's Continental iirc for sale just off of 640 over near that hot rod speed equip shop in North Knoxville- forget the name of the shop. Super cool car but I had no $$ or room for it then. Any chance that's the car you had?
