Shirley,

Welcome to the forum. Lot's of talent here, but I looked at your sites and it looks like you have plenty to start with. I like the work you did on the your Moto Guzzi. That tail section turned out really well. And the hot shoes were interesting - I'm not a bike racer, but it looks like they serve a good purpose. How fast do they wear out?

I also enjoyed your camera work, nice camera movements. The bike racing clip left me wanting more.

I think you'll find some interesting things on the site. Lot's of people willing to help if you ask for it.

Cheers!

thanks for welcoming me!

im still pretty shy of good metal manual tooling..but im making do for now!

re: the flat track shoe...the bottom of it has a layer of hardfacing on it. i guess it depends on track use and the rider for how long it will last before it needs to be hardfaced again. There are also some people who make the shoes that just braze the hardface to the surface whereas since i didnt have an electrode holder for my tig/stick welder, i wound up tigging the stuff on there as i was under the impression some penetration was important.

Thanks for the heads-up, Steve.

It made me look deeper to found your Guzzi pics, Shirley and very glad to see them. My Guzzi is sitting in the shop, in line for some alloy body parts as well.
