New member in Sussex
Hi, I have a couple of projects on the go - a 1931 Riley Nine special and a 1929 Austin Seven Chummy. Attending night school car restoration classes and enjoying metal shaping but useless at MIG.

Welcome to the forum Barry, there's a good few UK members on here.

Welcome Barry. I get that MIG feeling too!

Welcome,
Glad to see new members getting into metalshaping, as opposed to just buying parts. I was always a mig man before I joined this site and it's a good foundation to get you started, when you get into shaping metal, especially on those Austin wings, gas & tig will give you smoother panels, imo, something to work on in the future maybe. Post some pictures of what you are working on, good luck. |
Hi Barry welcome to the forum

Hi Barry
Welcome - good to see some more Uk based arrivees. Also a Riley man myself - built a 9 Brooklands special last year / about to restart on a Racing MPH special after a two year lay off whilst restoring a Riley 9 WD (War Dept ) tourer. Post some pics of work in progress please. You'll find lots of useful information in this site and plenty willingness to provide advice etc. |
Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks for such a warm welcome. Some pictures of the project as found- as a rolling chassis and playing with wood and cardboard (or how not to do it!)
