All MetalShaping - John Gunn introductory post

My name is Joe Gunn. I live in Visalia, CA. I want to make metal body resonator guitars (AKA the "Dobro"). To do this, I must learn to shape sheet metal (usually either mild steel, bell brass, or nickel silver) to make the guitar bodies. I also must learn how to spin metal (usually sheet aluminum) to make the resonator cones that produce/project the sound of these guitars. I hope to learn more about shaping & spinning these metals so that I can make the components needed to build the guitars. I am looking forward to participating in the relative forum(s) to learn these skills and share my experience in doing so.
