Hi there, interesting site, I have some pre-war cars and am currently sorting through my late fathers workshop and possibly looking to sell some interesting equipment at some point.

Equipment type

The equipment is as follows, 2 x Edwards English wheels, an Edwards metal former/bender, an Edwards 36" folder and a Oliver machinery shearer (electric but I've always used by hand). Be interesting to find out a bit about them.

Welcome to the forum Peter.
If you post some pictures of the equipment, I'm sure you will get all the
info that you need about them and a fair market value offer for them!
I know a lot of people on this site would love to buy an Edwards wheel.

Pictures always help with identifying what you have. There's a thread on the site with information on how to post.

Thanks for your advise, up until now I've only maintained and driven the old motors, but in the last couple of days I've cleaned the anvils on the English wheel, grabbed a couple of sheets of metal and had a play around, its brilliant! I do the panelwork in my business which involves new quarter panels, rear panels and boot floors etc which is fine but its so nice to have a go at some old stuff. Could anyone recommend a DVD for someone not new to metalwork but new to an English wheel? Pete.
