Hi
My name is ri and I restore old vw's. Currently I'm working on a 62 karmann ghia convertible, but have done spit busses, single cabs, etc. before now. I was taught some bumping and hammer welding by an old guy 25+ years ago. I work as a filmmaker, so my skills never went pro. We mig, and I like to save metal instead of replacing it. Currently I have some stretched fenders I need to learn some new tricks to fix. Thanks for having me! |
Good morning Ri, welcome to the forum.

Hi Ri great to have you on forum. I like the documents on your "www62ghia.com" you'll find we're a bunch of hands on people. I'm in Portland working on "frankinwagon" check out the pics in the "Album"s.

Hello Ri and Welcome.:)
I was just looking at your website, checked out your vid and I thought it was a little strange to see a car bra on a patina body work. Just a question, is that the actual body and treated with Anchor Wax or is your Ghia painted patina with clear coat. Looks very cool indeed. Cheers John |
