New guy from Austin, TX
Hello there! My name is Tony Blossom. I am a metal fabricator here in Austin, TX. I operate a CNC laser and am also the Laser Safety Officer for the company that I work for. I have a 1956 Buick Super 4 door hard top that I am slowly restoring and am always looking for new knowlege on how to do so. I did a search on how to make a bead roller and was led to this site. I'm looking forward to what I find and also to what I can contribute!
Thanks! |
Welcome Tony!
I'm just up the road from you. I'm in the process of making a new bead roller. My Horror Fright I bolted a 1" steel angle plate to, giving 8" depth, dosen't quite cut it. It works nicely, but new design is called for. Just got an ebay special (1hp 1725 rpm three phase w/ 60:1 gear box) today. Plan is a 120V VFD and make up a new bead roller (I picked up some 4x4x0.25 from Westbook for another project, but need to go back for some 4x2x0.25). Tomorrow might be an ice day, so good time to head to stay home and get some work done. Everyone in the North will be wondering why 1" of snow keeps Austin folks indoors, but you haven't seen our drivers! |
Welcome
