Hello from UK
 

Hey folks,
My name is Gareth, I'm an automotive engineer for Jaguar and have always been interested in cars, engineering and fabrication.

About 6 months ago I bought a 1973 Datsun 240z, most people would scrap it due to the amount of rust.
For me the challenge is to bring back the car to its former glory. With not many UK 240z's left in the UK my only option was to take on this project.

While doing some research into metal forming, I stumbled across this forum, reading a few posts, I was hooked.

Want to join your forum, as not only do I want to learn techniques and new skills, but enjoy reading about other people's engineering projects.

Maybe I have good advise to offer on my current skill set too.

Welcome from another UK Gareth! I was also born in Buckinghamshire (a long time back). Anyway, 240Z's are something special so it's good to hear you intend to save it. Get some photos up as soon as you can.

I don't actually post a lot on what I get up to but this site is an excellent place to learn, some of the skills demonstrated is nothing short of spectacular.

Looking forward to those photos.
