Hello Bob, welcome to allmetalshaping.

Peter, it's interesting to see the stuff you make because for the most part you make things in exactly the way I would even though we learned in different parts of the world.
... and we both prefer to gas weld.
David

David even though I worked in Italy for a wile before emigrating to Australia,:D it's here, that I learned most of my skills, I was lucky enough to work in the 70's with an Australian that years earlyer won a schoolarship apprentice of the year, and travel to England to work on the prototipe Aston Martin DB6, and no one.. but 3 craftmen from England( we called them Poms over here:D ) one worked at Aston Martin the other two worked at Rolls Royce..... so you can see why I am saiyng I am so (very very lucky):D

PS and yes.. gas weld is the way to go

Late reply.

Thank you for the greetings Dave, Rick, and Peter.

A bit about me: I started working in Sheet Metal at 13 with my father - and I am a 3rd gen tradesman. I moved on to another career but have kept my hands in the shop, as I like working with metal. I have thought of going back into the shop full time as it's some thing that's in my blood.

Peter, I am working on an OTS 140, and have built much of the inner sheet metal already. I have the fire wall, sills, floor panels, rear parcel deck, A posts, and shut faces done but not together yet. I also have built the flat panels for the roadster doors, and will do the skins soon. I'm new to shaping like this - but I figure I might as well give it a go since I've come this far.
Peter, I have watched your DvD's and am excited to get going on this. He picture you posted is beautiful! I hope I can come close to that quality.
I'll post some pictures soon.

Cheers

Bob Richards
