Hi, I am in the process of rebuilding a 1932 Alvis 12/50TJ, as you can see, the radiator cowl has seen better days, I have straightened most of it out but, what I should like to know is, where do I buy the honeycomb insert material from, it will need to be replaced, it is around 5/16" (8mm) deep and can anyone recommend a good chrome plater in the UK? Thanks, Andrew. |

A little bit further on
Hi,
I have eventually ended up with a running, rolling chassis (how good the engine is I will find out when it has to do some work, I only ran it briefly). I have just started on building an Ash frame to support the alloy bodywork, what I should like to ask is... Can anyone suggest what sort of door to door frame gap should be left (the doors will be 24"x17" front and 18"x17" rear approx), I will be running a "T" aluminium bead around the door edge when finished to act both as a bit of an embellishment and also draught excluder, thanks in advance, Andrew. |
Andrew,
If you haven't sourced the radiator core yet, I found another company on the web. http://www.vintagecarradiatorcompany...Core-Pattern2/ Phil |
Rad honeycomb
Hi Paul,
Thank you very much for that, I have been in touch with a company who list my type of honeycomb, I am just waiting for them to get back to me with a quote, Andrew. |
