Cheap 36"? Bandsaw $35
Saw this on c/l. If anyone wants to build a English wheel with a bandsaw frame and is near Lancaster PA this is pretty cheap for $35.00- http://https://lancaster.craigslist.org/tls/d/vintage-boice-crane-bandsaw/7198174907.html

Looks good. If someone will uses a frame to build an EW, they can only modify that frame by adding a bottom support based on Cass or my design. The function of the EW is great. The pressure is sufficient.
Check out my "EW by Cass" thread. I left the upper part of the frame unchanged. I used the geometry of the frame. I added a tool lift function but used the original frame components. |

"Post Deleted by Author." Likely sold. Boice Crane = non-trivial mfr http://www.old-woodworking-tools.net...ing-tools.html (thought I recognized the Boice Crane name from long ago :: the oscillating spindle sander shown down this page is the same model/vintage owned by one of my previous skilled employers, Bob Davids '72-'75 (Art Center grad who also worked Breedlove team, GM Design Center, IGT, etc) He was particularly fond of that sander. Later on I came to own my favorite Rockwell, Delta-Rockwell and Walker-Turner machines ... along with the ancient 3Ph WellSaw ... nicely-working fine old machines exude a singular vibration of personal comfort when performing their tasks. Someone likely hooked that Boice-Crane at a ballistic velocity. |
