Flame sprayed zinc
 
Has anyone used flame sprayed zinc for corrosion protection on steel sheet? I have a flame spray tool I use to build up warn shafts. I believe zinc powder is available.

Hi Bill,

I've never used it before but these guys use it on there builds.
If you watch their YouTube videos they talk about it a lot.

Yes, the video is the process I would like to replicate. They are using a high end wire feed gun. (Looks like). My gun has a powder cup on the gun. I was hoping someone had tried it with the lower cost equipment. I’ll give it a try if I don’t hear something.
