Magnabend inventor joining.
Hi, Alan Bottomley here,
I want to join AllMetalShaping so that I can contribute to users who have problems/questions regarding the Magnabend sheet metal folder. (I am the inventor of this machine). I live in the small quaintly-named town of "Snug" which is in the southern part of Tasmania, Australia. |
Welcome Alan. I have one of your machines.

Welcome Alan.
Your Magnabend is a seriously good invention; I have been using several since 1985, Cheers Charlie |

Hi Dan, There is not much that you can do to increase the clamping force of the magnet. If you were starting from scratch you would make the magnet bigger but that is not an option for you. However have a look at this page of my website: http://www.aaybee.com.au/Magnabend/G...Magnabend.html |
Alan, welcome to the site. I bought my first Magna-Bend in 1981. I have long said if you can only have one brake this is the one to have. I wouldn't be without one.

Welcome to the metal gang, Alan.
Good to have you here, insights, inventiveness, and all. |
Hi Alan,
It’s good to see you back on the site. Thank you for the link to your website, too would like more clamping force.
