sort of newbie

Just a quick line to say hi
Its been a little while since i was on here so i feel like a newbie again but to update events since November ( !)
We won our court case, got our new factory built, took on a major customer, went from 8 hour days to 20 hr and increased our staff from 5 to 15.
We now have things pretty much under control so I am finally able to get back to a little shaping
I still have a wheel to drop of to Plymouth Dave ( Winner at our meet) and I apologise for the delay
I hope you all understand that things were a bit hectic for a while

Cheers John

Good to see you back John, Hopefully you can get that e-wheel finished too.

Oldnek 08-09-2015 05:52 AM

Hi John.

It's great to hear you had a victory, and on the road back to success, things will only get better for you from here on.
It's good that you posted, you kept hounding everyone at the meet to post on the forum, then Johnny went AWAL.:D

Great to have you Back. ;)

Cheers John

Thanks Guys for the love and support !

The problem was if I hadn't gone AWOL our business probably would have
But happy to say all has worked out OK and I have just started a tin bashing project...

Reminds me Jonno, when are we supposed to be in Allahdulla for 2015 meet ?:D

Cheers John

2015 ?

Had a chat with Peter Tommasini today
It would be a shame to let the year slide on by without an event, no matter how small
Pete's offered to come up to our place perhaps on the weekend of 19/20th December so if anyone is keen for a weekend let us know

If not a full weekend then maybe a day in Melbourne ?

Yep its short notice, it'll be nearly Christmas etc but Peter will just have returned from 2 months in the US and may have learned a thing or two !!!

As I posted earlier I apologise for not playing a part in the field for the last 10 months but S#%@ happens and has to be sorted out one way or another

Cheers John

Welcome back John.

Hi John,

Let us know if you get any interest in an Australian meet with Peter. I have been wanting to get down to meet Peter and see his work for a while. The weekend before xmas might be a stretch with those of us planning to travel to see family for xmas though...

Regards Jake

Glad to hear you are on the other side of the wringer!

Thanks Kerry

It is good to be back.
Heading home on Friday and I promise I'll post pics of the doorframe for the Dannenhauer & Stauss roadster I have actually started on

I looked through a few posts ( specifically for the Ulladulla meet....... ) only to find 41 pages of Go Jeep's (Marcus ) progress
WOW He was holding out on us by only making a bowl last year !!! Incredible

Cheers John

I'd be keen for a catch up again, i'd probably only be able to do one day again but it's better than nothing

Meet 2015

I take a month or so off and you guys go back to your caves !

EK Dave, Oldnek John, Mildsteal Dennis and Mark Youel were the guys who put all the effort in last year to put a weekend on
Dave and Dennis are available on the 11 12 13 December which Peter is able to fit in so that is our 2015 date.
If we can only get a few takers at this busy time, we will just have a day at Peters place in Bayswater on the 12th
I will speak with Mark and Dave will chase up John and if they are unable to make it we will have an event in 16 that works for them

Last year I intended to have a whip around to see if we could raise a few dollars to send over to Dana Sutton ( DSUTTON 8 RATROD STROLLER) to help with the medical expenses that they face caring for Xander.
Unfortunately because I had to rely on the boys so much to help out, I felt that asking for more in the way of money wasn't fair

This years event will be different.

Any present members of AllMetalShaping can attend for free
I only ask that anyone who attends makes a donation to the Suttons cause

Please bear in mind that a 4 day US event with Peter costs $ US 650
We had the privilege of having Adam, Nate and Jamie last year so what value do you place on their generosity ?

Look up Dana's RATROD STROLLER post

Cheers John

Great idea John ,, here the post for those interested, we forget how lucky we are in Australia many people around the world dont have the medical system we have that includes countries like the USA
