I had the pleasure of meeting Sollis at the last Santa Cruz Metal Meet. I was very impressed watching him hammer out a Motor Cycle tank, weld it, plannish it. He was not happy with it, cut it in half the other direction, and plannished the halfs and weld it back together:eek:. in just a few hours! |

Hi Sollis , big hallo from the UK, where did all that skill come from, never seen so much top quality work in one place before.
You are a Practical Metal Shaping Artist of the first degree. I’m not a metal shaper , I’m a brit with a dream of being able to shape metal one day. Teach me Please. Such awesome work, been through your posts twice and want more. Blown away. (Feel something goods coming out of the pending changes) |

Fan club
Sollis, glad to see you posting. I am a big fan of your talent. The work you always post has inspired me in the past and even now makes me want to start finding time to get my skills elevated to at least a point where I would be proud of the to say that that scrap is some of my best work.
All kidding aside, I really do want to get back to learning how to do the shaping of parts I want to use on my bikes. Seeing your post again makes me say to myself that now is the time to make more time for shaping metal again. Please, please, please, keep the post coming. |
