The Avion
The trailer aluminum project...1959 /60 Avion 20ft. A total wreck when I dragged it home. Reskinned the whole inside. As well as repaired all the dents and damage on the outside.http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/a...tts/Avion1.jpg

Nice work on the floor.
Keep the pics coming. |
Hello Ian, welcome to the site, I missed your initial post. Looks like a lot of work on the floorpan. Like you said time to get back on the T tub. I am building a'27 T hot rod roadster for myself and i am making the body from scratch. I will post some photos soon. I love that ally boat!

The Chevy is a Canadian built and driven car. The floor was the expected mess. I'll have to find the before pictures. I should have started with something in better shape. Here's a picture on the way to have it blasted. I could have had it blasted before I started welding, but the headliner would have been damaged. :o It was funny looking going down the street with the car mounted on the trailer. I did the outside of the car years ago, it's holding up well.

I've been looking at the boat, and thinking it would be a nice project to build from scratch. Just metal shaping. and then hang the motor on.
