i had a go at making the bottom piece of the door, it was quite bad... i made a press using some steel RHS i had laying around, some 150mm x 10mm flat bar as the dies. 1 male with added shapes tacked on and a female with shapes milled in it. first attempt was ok really, no pre-stretching and i had a small split in it. i will have another go tomorrow and pre-stretch the panel before hand

Got quite a bit of rise from that and surprised it came out that well without a pre-stretch.

Invention is a combination of brains and materials.
The more brains you use, the less materials you need.

Polish up your draw radiuses so the metal flows better. It may help some.

Neil, Firstly WoW.

I have a thingo in the bottom drawer that looks like your doors, its for draining spaghetti.

You have some serious work ahead of you, great job so far. But I would also give those edges a real smooth up to try and minimise tearing, also check your clearance in your die, if it's to tight, the metal will not be able to move.
But I'm also very surprised how much movement you had without a pre stretch.
Great idea, with a little finessing you will have a winner

i was surprised too Marcus, i was expecting much worse than that!

john i think that thingo you have is a colander or sieve, if you lose it let me know i'll send you my door bottom

I've not polished up the die edges yet but i did do another with pre stretching. it was better and a little easier to press, or so it seemed

Default photo posting

Neil
Go to your post, click on edit, then click go advanced.
just follow the instructions listed below.

Default Help us out all you photo posters
A lot of you post photos as attachments. Have you ever wondered why all you see is Attachment 878767 below your posts but no photo....and then sometime later, the photos magically appear in your post?

They show up because one of the admins edits the thread and makes a very simple change. Please help us out.

There are two situations, a single photo and multiple photos:

MULTIPLE PHOTOS

All you need to do is after you have finished typing and using the paperclip to attach all the photos you want is to do this:

1- Position your cursor where you want all the photos to show...normally at the end of the post.

2- Click on the paper clip again. you will see a list of your attachments and at the very bottom "Insert all". Click on insert all and it will put them IN your post and when you hit preview or save, they will show up.

SINGLE PHOTO

All you need to do is after you have finished typing and using the paperclip to attach all the photos you want is to do this:

1- Position your cursor where you want all the photo to show...normally at the end of the post or somewhere in the middle of the text.

2- Click on the paper clip again. you will see the internal file name of the photo you attached. Click on that file name and it will position the photo IN your post and when you hit preview or save, they will show up.

If you forget, you can do the same thing by editing your post, Note that you have to be in the advanced editor to do this.

Thanks

Good to see.
