4 corners had steel sections removed and prototype aluminum bits made up and installed.

Standard process = mock up the concept, make trial parts, make subsequent changes if and when necessary, finalize, install, adjust.
And road test.

The "GT3" buggy bod mods are "in white" and when testing is finished, then buggy will go to paint. (Report is that all is well.)

Beautiful work. I would need a similar job.
Will the inner wheel arch be closed?

Lovely work there, Kent. Did you weld the fenders on or are they removable so they can be replaced in an accident?

Marcus and Jaro - Thank you very much. Yes, the inner arch is also made and pieced in, back together. Arches join for complete original strength - adult can sit on the corners. No extra tube framing added, back to original type of closure/edge joint at the arch.

Paul - Thank you!
Mike K. - Thank you! used a handheld pneumatic squeezer with dies machined to match the offset required. Efficient, easy, accurate.
Onorius - Thank you!
Manny - Thank you! this job is what is known as "bonded structure" in industry. Fit, drilled, cleaned, 20-min cure goop applied and riveted wet. Sorta permanent parts when joined. Car is unit-body so any cut-away areas have to be thought out for strength, handling, function.
Test results:

Car runs a bit faster, handles noticeably better, seems lighter. Very worthwhile bod mod. Will test on speedway, next.
