thanks
We do what we can We just completed a successful meeting with local business leaders and recruiters. They were very impressed with our approach for reaching students. We have a lot of great plans for the future. I use this site many times in class to show or help explain techniques for metal working. It is a very useful resource. Thanks to all that that administrate and post here.

pulled a couple of students off the caddy to start on this T tub
owner bought a few replacement panels to give us a head start they will need modified to work. We will have to fab the lower rear section on the tub sides. The replacement wood kit will be ordered soon, just getting a head start on the metal. the rear body replacement part will need the upper belt added from the original, then we will make the correct bend at the bottom we do what we can with the tools we have here at school the lower portion of the tub has some very poor patch work, some places have 2 patches in the same spot, this proves that something can at least serve as an excellent bad example. Luckily most of the patch work was spot brazed and riveted over the original metal making removal very simple.

we had some time to start on the chassis
we located our centerline and started designing the chassis on paper we hope to start welding tubing soon the plan is for a 1 1/2 X 3 rectangle bottom rail then use 1 1/2 square for the sheetmetal support it should resemble a truss or monocoque chassis
