Default First try

Hey there.
This is my first shot so dont laugh!
I gotta say it got me hooked. I'm enjoying each and every strike.
I started with a simple small bowl, as I think everybody does (first two pics).
My wife loved it and snatched it to put her earings in..
Then I got greedy.. I wanted to make a larger bowl for shop use, washing small parts in petrol and such..
But it didnt go as well. I started by cutting a round piece and proceeded to malleting it out in the stump's bowl. At a certain moment I noticed that certain portions of the metal seemed to overgrew others and I didnt accomplish an equal bowl outline.
What went wrong?
Regards
