Default Wall Hanger

20151202_103741.jpgHello all. Been a long time lurker. Finally have a couple pics to show.
I am in the UVU street rod technologies program.
Enjoying it very much.
Aluminum shaping project started out to be a mailbox but was afraid it might not last on the street, so just decided to make two wall hangers.
Anyway here are the pics

20151207_100533.jpgMade a sort of press form for the side windows, bead roller for the belt line, grill & hood louvers. Tipping die on top with a flat die on top to roll in door & hood seams/

20151208_123715.jpgOriginally the hood was going to open to insert the mail so I had to build a hood filler and weld into place.
Some metal finishing and sanding and it's ready for polishing.

Cal nice job.

Can you show some detail on the louvers and the tooling?

Jere, it is simply a 1/8" bead roll die in the Mittler Bro's bead roller. I overlapped them with the dies which smashed them a little but looked ok. It is the same die I used to run the belt bead. In the first pic I believe you can see my test piece for the louvers.

That looks really great and can't blame you for not putting it outside as think it would get stolen!
