Default Hearing protection

Tomorrow is my Dads birthday and I was trying to think of something to get for him.

I do a lot of work over there and the one thing I noticed was his ear muffs have had it. The must be 30 years old plus he only has one pair so if I forget to bring mine I am just left there listening to the screaming grinder all day.

I went to home depot yesterday and found a set of Ryobi Noise Canceling Electronic Ear Muffs.

I put them on and they were great but they were 70 bucks.

I hate harbor freight, but I looked them up there and they are only 14 bucks.

Anybody have a pair, if so do you like them? I'm in for a 56 dollar price difference.

They would be perfect for me, I make a lot of noise. for that price I might even get some for the neighbors

Johnny, save your hearing and buy a good set. I paid $300 for a set many years ago when I worked in a powerhouse. The price is worth it to save your hearing.

I think I'm going to buy the good set for myself.

I never even seen those before. I have just been using a regular set.

I bought the HF ones several years back. I am more than underwhelmed if you know what I mean. They are basically ear muffs with batteries. I gave mine another chance at Sun-n-Fun. Just expensive earmuffs. Add to that the proceedure for changing batteries is to guess which one has the batteries and tear the thing apart with a pocket knife or screwdriver. Save your coin for a good set.

Appreciate that Carey.

I try not to support Harbor Freight anyways. I thought that price was to good to be true.

It's about the same as all of there stuff. It's like there e-wheel verses Kerry's. There not even comparable.
