How cold is too cold?

Here´s picture of on front of my garage/shop, well it´s insulated,so rust aint problem, but haven´t invested on heater yet,but it´s next on the list.I use same thing as david, many layers of clothing and gloves, but i am there only 1-3h,when its winter and if it is -5 celsius or more..ill probably stay home.., gotta get that heater.

But if i would make new garage/shop from ground up, i would make or consider, radiant underfloor heating, it´s expensive to do, but on the long run, it pays itself back.But you wont be anchoring machines to the floor, drill in to a pipe and...well you all know/can imagine what happens then

Or : Many in finland invest on air source heat pump, i have only heard good about them, but some say, the pump last only about 5 years, or when they get old they start to make loud noise..and in here pumps have big differences on price and performance, but i don´t have any experience on them.
