Nick
The problem with a design like that is the width limit you could fit on that. If you're going to go through that much work/engineering/creative thought, I wouldn't want to only be able to fit small cars on it.

Great concept Tony. It'd be neat to engineer something like that.

Speaking of neat concepts! This guy was really thinking out of the box.

Hi Kerry,
I'm a fan of Art Deco. This would be my dream truck car hauler.
Peace,
Chaz

I'm about over the front wheel drive approach but this is an interesting scheme:

It's a reprint from an old "Hot Rod Mechanix" article. rebodying something like this with an enclosed box might be interesting...mileage would suck however and the previously discussed traction issues have pretty much settled me on a truck and trailer approach....today

A few more photos that are intriguing:

This is what a 57 Chevy cab over looks like. They're pretty rare. Not very art decoey though:

Turns out that all the LeBlatt trucks were actually White's. This one really looks buildable. Downsized a bit.

This Gilmore gas truck is AWESOME!

Here is a White 3000 COE converted to a street rod.

And this White Bus from down under

I like this trailer.

And, so far, the winner is..

Try to see a White 3000 cab, extended with the dresser sheet metal over the drive wheels and a 5th wheel setup for a pair of TorFlex axles on the trailer. The back of the trailer would open up clamshell like to drive the car in.

Default Try converting a motor home or bus,

I live in California and re-doing a motor home would be the best because anything else would be required to stop at all truck stops. The old Airstreme with 3 axles would not. These can be made to get over 10 miles per gal. Most of these will still need a smog test every other year in Ca. If you changed the rear suspension to air you could also drop the rear in addition to a better ride. Fred26T

Came across this one in the middle of the night.

Scale it down, turn it into a trailer, is that not the wife sat up in the cockpit keeping an eye on you.
