Is it truly lead or is it the aluminum brazing/welding rod you can get at Loews/Home Depot?

We used an old stick of auto body lead.

It was 70/30 auto body lead (30/70?) using flux. Kerry, the aluminum must be heated enough for the pores to open and accept the lead. otherwise it doesn't stay. Here's a video from last years class..

I didn't see the flux being used Robert. What kind of flux and when/how was it applied? Was the lead stick dipped in the flux?

Last year we used tinning flux, not sure what they used the other day, I was helping with another project when the lead loading exercise started...

Hey Robert ,that was a good idea to use fineline tape to better define some of the surface details when making a pattern. I was having a problem marking some of the style lines when making a pattern of my Pantera quarter panel. After going back and highlighting the quarter first it was easy to transfer the tip lines to my pattern.
