It's annoying that they want to sell the tooling separately as it really is part of the machine. I see it a lot at UK auctions and will never buy something that's been split up. I get that people want to maximise profit but it makes you wonder if practices like this actually turn buyers off?

With press brakes, tooling is always separate as the person selling the machine still needs the dies for their new brake.
Most brake dies fit most machines.

It's not for any kind of maximization.

Fair enough, I just see a lot of it over here and it is for maximisation. I understand wanting to keep tooling for your next machine if they use the same.

For auctions, it's always sold separately and is for maximization.
