Radiused corners on liquid tanks are safer as it reduces bending loads in the tank wall with sloshing of the contents.
More critical in aircraft due to weight concerns. Thinner section walls are more susceptible to the forces. FAA describes a shake table process to ensure integrity of the tank. FWIW mjb
