Default Tips for mass production tools

Hi all,

Before joining this great site, I was looking for a forum on which I can find some help and tips for designing tooling for sheet metal parts production. By looking at thread subjects it seems people here more like hand made parts and related shaping methods, am I right?

Though shaping and hand making sheet metal parts has always been one of my favorites and I enjoy reading posts here, does anybody know a similar forum for mass production tips and ideas?

Thanks in advance

Hi Reza, you are correct our focus is basically one off hand made metal. Occasionally, someone describes a technique that was used in production but generally most cars, motorcycles, etc were made by big drop presses.

I'm not aware of a forum for mass production tooling but all that means is that I've never run across it.

If you describe what kinds of things you are wanting to mass produce, someone may have some knowledge. There are bunches of people here with vast knowledge of things that are far from the scope of metal shaping. They may be able to point you in the right direction.
