Default New to me Torch

I just got a new to me used torch. It is used but in nice shape Smith's AW1. It came some tips and hose, but the hose is old and stiff. I ordered a set of the lightweight hoses from the Tinman.

I have a couple of questions?

1 What tip should I be using with this torch to be welding .060 3003 aluminum.

2 I have this other torch. Its a Torch Weld by National cylinder gas company. Anyone ever used this torch? Anyone have any pictures of what the tips look like? Anyone have any tips for it 4sale? I think I like the feel of this torch better than the smith AW1

Boy after posting the picture, the torch weld look a lot bigger. It sure does not feel much bigger. It has a nice feel in my hand.

Hi,

Nice torch. Kent White has a tip size chart on his website the will cross reference your torch and tip size, per the thickness of material.

Personally,
I actually prefer the torches I can get tips for.....
And can light up nicely ....
and can get to burn well....
The others....? Well, they are nice to dream about... and wonder ..."what if...?"

I like the Smith. When it is dialed in, runs well, and I can get tips for it, it is a charm for welding.

I love a torch that works....waayy more than one that does not....quite.....AH - dang!!
