When we work with everyday stuff we sometimes get careless when tired. I am really glad your son is going to be okay. My brother worked as a bus mechanic for 30 years and two years ago he was airing up a tire standing to the side and reaching around it and the sidewall blew out. It was off the vehicle leaning against the bus and it traveled about 15 feet before it contacted the wall breaking windows. He had a badly damaged wrist and lost 50 percent of his hearing. Thank God he wasn't in front of it or he would be dead.He had worked at the job that long and never had anything like that happen before. It was almost a new tire.

I am very sorry to hear about your sons accident I hope everything comes out well. I have a 4 year old and worry about his curiosity getting him into trouble sometime. Thank you for telling us about this and hopefully some other accidents can be avoided.

Ron, I am so sorry to hear that this happened, it is awful when your child is hurt or ill. My youngest daughter has a life long illness and was quite ill for a few years when she was a toddler. I hope your son recovers and is not in too much pain, it must have hurt like hell. Poor little soul.
Airlines can be very dangerous even without the tyre, this is one of the the things I have to warn people about at college. David

Actually this happened at Easter.. So Spencer (my son) has got about 90% of the movement back in his hand and amazed the doctors how fast and how much he recovered.
BE SAFE out there. |
