Default Quick disconnect fix

Have a cutoff wheel device that was wimping out. Have a new 3/8" hose and a new quick disconnect.
Turned out the mushroom looking valve piece in the quick coupling has a design problem. Ok this was a cheep HF item. But I fixed it I took the connector apart and retrieved the "valve piece". This one had a narrow slot in the little end. That is the end that contacts the male piece. The fix is to cut a slot using a narrow cut off wheel down the existing slot making it wider and deeper. Rotate 90 degrees and cut another slot the same as the first. Reassemble the coupling and try it out. May have to debur a little
Turned my weak cutoff into an all star.
