Default Lurker lately.......

My name is Rick Tucker, and I am a Toolaholic. I've been lurking around this site for a while, but many here probably don't know me, hence this introduction.

I was born with a wrench in my hand....(ouch! sorry mom), and have been a gearhead most of my life. Spent many years fabricating and racing Oval Track, and a few years Desert Racing which presented a whole new set of challenges. Got into Metalshaping 10 years ago when I picked up a '35 Ford 5W Coupe that was to say the least missing a serious amount of it's original tin.

I have managed to cultivate sort of a love/hate relationship with the Metalshaping community, and my checkered past has gotten me banned on some sites I'm proud to say. But I seem to have a home here, and for that I'm thankfull.

My three main projects are:

63MGB.jpg
All original restoration, 99.8% complete

CobraLA.jpg
80% complete on final assembly, still a lot of work to do. Fiberglass body on hand fabricated frame, with all junkyard running gear, but unlike Johnny Cash's car, left and right sides usually match. I call it the Junkyard Snake.

35Coupe.jpg
Lots of tin work, will be a challenge just to get the body done. Running gear will be from a 95 Ford T-Bird Supercoupe SC, supercharged V6/5speed, IFS, IRS doner car.

I'll post my work on the 35 Coupe when I actually get something done. Need to finish up the other two projects first.

Tuck
