This shows some of the complex shapes in the body and is real "eye candy" in my opinion. I don't know of any flat panels on the roadster.

Can't wait for the weekend "Group Build" so we can all have a beautiful roadster like this.

Oh no, that's not going to happen!

I need to take some close up photos. She'll never be ready for bare metal. Kind like a 80 year old in a thong....some things are best left to the imagination!

I'm too old to metalfinish this car. I'd pretty much have to remake the fenders anyway but I guess I could just use the old one's for a buck.

Looking great Kerry.

If you would drive in Holland it would look even bigger then it already is.

I've been thinking about the windshield for months or years. Still haven't come to a final conclusion but I'm leaning toward a flat windshield just to keep in line with what was common in the late 30's. I realize that some cars have two piece windshields but many had one piece.

This morning I took back outside and cut a piece of cardboard in a shape that might be close to what the windshield might be. I kind of like the look.

Here is what it looks like with my camera directly in front of my eyes. I'm looking through the middle of the 'glass'.

Not going to be doing much metalshaping for a while. I've pulled the front sheetmetal off (for the umpteenth time) so I can get into the engine compartment easier. I bought some cast iron headers and need to make some mandrel bent exhaust pipes. I also need to make a non-tilt steering wheel column.

Kerry you have done a great job on the car, but my vote would be a split one.

A Duval style would also look good.

There was a guy at the Stones River Swap Meet last month that had a Duval casting but the problem with it, and the XK120 and other two piece windshields is that the curve and width of my cowl isn't going to match Short of casting something that fits the shape of my cowl (I don't have capability or knowledge to cast aluminum), I'm left with fabricating something which would be a pretty intensive effort.

I'm open to ideas but the existing Sprite posts look really good. I suppose I could always do the V windshield as a phase II thing. Anyone got a set of XK windshield frames I could get some measurements on?
