Default Want to be a Metal Shaper of the Month?

Each month, we (Joe, Johnny, Tim, and I) vote on who we will select as the Metal Shaper of the Month.

Our criteria is pretty simple and everyone is eligible:

1- It must be metal SHAPING, not tool building

2- We much prefer a project that has build documentation, not just finished work.

This site is all about helping member gain knowledge. When folks share their process, mistakes, and successes we all gain. That's what we're after. You don't have to be a master shaper.

"1- It must be metal SHAPING, not tool building"

Understood, no distortion at all.

But...

99% of us here, thrive on new tools, to make our wares in metal shaping, and there is untold satisfaction, designing, building, and chronicling tool and die set ups, for others to follow.

Yes, the shapes I'm seeing, are wonderful, and I am unsure if I will ever, come up to the standard I see here on this forum, but wow.... got to love HOW they did it, as well as the tools and processes, some of which, are VERY specialised.

Maybe, a Metal Shaping Tool design award could go out as well?

There are some smart people here, and I just love, looking in the backgrounds of their photo's, to see what tools they have.

Anyway, damn good forum, and damn fine people contributing... love it here!

Ian... self confessed tool junkie...
