Default New guy from snowy Canada

My name is Mike and I'm a retired mechanical engineer.

I live in rural Ontario near Lake Huron's eastern shore, about 3 hours north of Toronto.

I've worked around cars for many years. I just finished the woodwork and most of the mechanicals on a client's 1947 Ford Sportsman which will be appearing at the Spring Early Ford V8 Club meet in Pensylvania.

Now that I've finally retired I'm doing a total resto-mod on my 1951 MG that I've owned since 1967.

In the past I've done a bit of bodywork but only enoughto know how little I know about it. But I've never been afraid to ask and learn from others.

From what I've been able to see, this site looks to be the mother-lode.

Mike, welcome. Living south of you in the Barrie area. Must be something in the Northern air. I too have owned a '53 MG TD since '74. Completely dismantled and stored away. I've "lurked" on quite a few similar sites over the last couple of years but I've never seen a site with as much knowledge and willingness to share as this one. In the beginning, you'll spend an amazing amount of time just reading. It is worth the effort!!
