Default For the love of VW Aircooled South Africa

Hi my name is Nuraan I live in Cape Town, South Africa.

I’m a glass half full kinda girl“Taking chances, making mistakes, and getting messy.” Is how I explore the world, people and myself.

I view limitations and challengers as an opportunity to look at new alternative ways to do things.

This could explain why I spend lots of time working my DIY VW Aircooled projects(with the help of my amazing woodworker Dad) and my appreciation for fine craftmanship.

My love for VW Aircooled has lead me on a journey exposing me to new found interest. Basic automotive mechanical and body repair has recently been added to my skill set. Both acquired thru strong collaboration across different platforms with people who share a similar passion for VW Aircooled(thank you guyz).

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know....so I will forever learn as the world is forever changing.

I would like to shape sheet metal mainly for restoration purposes. Any advise and info Is welcomed.

Are the any other South Africans especially Capetonians?

Thank you to the administrators and members on this forum. I look forward to sharing and learning from you.

Have a great day

John Alba has been working on VW's for many years and might be a source of info and help.
He used to go to the metal meets but I think he's mostly focused on his business, he's in California.

I haven't talked with him for a few years but his main business is VW sunroofs.

His web site
